The no-LSAT line is three different rules.

Part-time, evening, and hybrid are schedules. They do not waive a test. A school outside ABA accreditation can ignore the LSAT and still leave the bar closed where you plan to practice.

01 · Test-optional

Standard 503 variance

The ABA public notice, through August 2026, names 23 schools with a Standard 503 variance that is not the JD-Next line. Coverage of the August 21 meeting said 21 were granted, with two pending. Elon and St. John’s are the August grants. The variance is time-limited. It is not a repeal of the test, and it does not say the application is open.

02 · Still a test

JD-Next variance

About 66 schools may use JD-Next in place of the LSAT. A school without that variance cannot admit on JD-Next alone. JD-Next is an assessment. It is not “no test.”

03 · Another test

GRE in lieu

Roughly 65% of schools accept the GRE instead of the LSAT. ASU’s on-campus JD does not. Read the row. Do not inherit a policy from a thread.

    Then the list

    Materials, calendar, money, and the failure review are the course.
